Hello Agile Connect Braga Community! Here comes our 35th meetup! And this is the 6th edition remotely held in partnership with Porto Community =D

18h:30m – Welcome
18h:40m – OKR for Agile Coaching, by Thene Sheehy
20h00m – Closing

As part of a job interview, I was asked, “What should be the OKR’s (objectives & key results) for Agile Coaches?”

Are we really talking about the OKR’s for an agile transformation for the business?

Do the OKR’s differ depending on the state of the business in its agile journey?

Do the OKR’s differ depending on the level of focus for the agile coach?

Let’s create a group discussion about this, first defining some parameters, and then breaking into groups using Miro boards to gather everyone’s opinion.

Welcome to our 29th Agile Connect Braga Meetup! Agenda: • 18:45 - Welcome • 19h - Talk + Q&A - No Frameworks: Scaling the biggest open-source software, by Carlos Palminha • 20h - Coffee Break • 20h15 - Open Space Session • 21h - Closing Today one of the main challenges for organizations is how to scale software development. They face problems with the increased complexity of software, bigger organizations, distributed teams, coordination and inter-dependencies, managing and aligning for releases, creation of silos, etc… Of course, the industry provides a lot of frameworks to scale Agile software development: Scrum of Scrums, LESS, SAFe, DAD, Spotify Model, etc… We also see an increasing amount of consultants, writers, speakers, training programs, certification organizations, advocating that applying a framework will solve software and companies' problems. Each one of them will sell that they’re “magic wand” framework is the best silver bullet to apply. In this talk, we will explore the development of the Linux Kernel, one of the longest and biggest open-source software projects in the world. Currently with 28 years of age, comprises an estimated community of 5000 to 6000 developers, with more than 26 million lines of code. It actively releases a stable version each 8 to 12 weeks and provides 7 versions simultaneously (2 stable and 5 long-term maintenance releases). The latest numbers say that Linux is used by more than 70% of the world's smartphones and by more than 50% of the world's internet web servers. The main takeaway from the talk will be on how a constantly changing and evolving project scaled it’s software development and solved the complex problems without applying any of those frameworks... About Carlos Palminha (, he is currently Head of Product Management at Profimetrics (Itim Group). Having more than 20 years of experience in technology and engineering management he has a strong know-how understanding business needs from C-Level execs, Investors and Customers and transforming them into technical stories. With vast experience leading a broad range of technologies development (embedded, classical applications, middleware, distributed, backend, frontend, cloud, mobile), he loves to flourish, refactor and lead organizations in the adoption of methodologies, agility, product, and innovation. About Uphold, our mission is to create trusted access to digital money and financial services for the many. Since inception, we have fought to provide a fairer, easier and more affordable system. We favor speed, simplicity, and ease of use over complexity. We put security and transparency first. Our commitment to transparency sets a new standard for the industry. Unlike banks, we are fully reserved, and transparent: we hold assets to match our obligations and publish both in real time. After the event, feel free to extend the gathering with us for a dinner time and keep talking about Agile and other meaningful subjects at "Mostarda & Chocolate". This meetup will be presented in Portuguese or English, depending on the audience. This event is FREE to attend, but you have to register yourself first. See you there & bring a friend!
